Disciplinary Procedure

If a very serious rule is broken in the centre the following will happen:

The Co-ordinator can suspend you immediately.

In the event of a serious offence a meeting of the Board of Management will be called.

The parents/guardians shall be informed and a meeting will be arranged.

If the young person wants to return to the centre he/she will have to do the following:

Meet with a person outside the Youthreach programme chosen by the Co-ordinator. This meeting will last one hour, twice a month for three months.

The young person will not be attending the Youthreach during this time and will not receive payment for this period.

The young person may be allowed to return to Kilkenny Youthreach (maybe on a part-time basis at first) depending on their attendance and progress in the meetings.

Three verbal warnings by tutors within a close period (e.g. four weeks) merits for a suspension.

On returning after suspension the person starts again on a one-month trial period.
